Perform Remote Online Notarizations From Home
What Is Remote Online Notarization (RON)?
RON, also known as remote online notarization, is the electronic notarization of documents during an eClosing or eNotarization. This popular form of electronic notarization requires, at a minimum, secure audio video, RON, and eSignature technology.
During a typical online appointment with a RON, the notary and signer aren’t physically together in the same room. Instead, all participants in the eClosing communicate using a computer, phone, or tablet. Due to the digital nature of this transaction, homeowners, title agents, settlement attorneys, lenders, and notaries are able to meet timely deadlines on legal documents and efficiently execute the documents from anywhere with a secured WiFi connection.
The adoption of RON and eClosing tools allows real estate professionals to offer a fully digital closing experience to homeowners. RON is perfect for those who are unable to leave their homes, workplace, or office.
