Reviewed and edited drafts prepared by speech recognition software, making sure that the transcription is correct, complete, and has a consistent style. Translated medical abbreviations and jargon into the appropriate long form. Identified inconsistencies, errors, and missing information within a report that could compromise patient care.
Submitted health records for physicians to approve. Followed patient confidentiality guidelines and legal documentation requirements i.e., HIPPA. Entered medical reports into electronic health records systems.I have over 15 years’ experience with Transcription in many different areas including autopsies. I have worked with a lot of Canadian accounts as well as many different hospitals around the US. Most of the accounts I have worked on were verbatim accounts with specific specs for each different hospital and I have worked on 5-6 different hospitals at a time. I am very versatile and able to switch back and forth between specs. I have good accuracy and do about 3,000 lines a week depending on the work available. I can do more if the need is there or if there are special circumstances such as Holiday’s or evening work.
I have also been working for my mother’s company Clemco LLC where I do medical chats and life coaching for many years and I do that on and off for her during busy times as well, but I can balance my time and work an IC position and the chat line also. I have done this since 2008.

I am a MT seeking remote jobs to do from home. I do have my own equipment and software but if I need different software, I can accommodate this. I have a dedicated office with a locking door and dedicated computer equipment including a scanner all ICD-10, PCS etc. I would be an asset in many different areas.
